Chefs have weird, fetish like feelings about food.
I like to believe that I am part of a special relationship. A liaison between food and patron. A priest between God and sinner. Each ingredient an old friend which I will soon feed it to you- the hungry subject.
Every dish has an untold story, and behind all things food there are the people who devote their entire life to its existence. People like me, madly obsessed about what they produce.
My objective is simple. I want to give you a better understanding of the overly romanticized world I belong to. This is about life in the kitchen through my eyes, and the struggle behind the white coat. If lucky, from time to time I’ll throw you a bone with a recipe or two to keep you coming back for another bight.
Bitching should be expected, as I tend to often go overboard on rants about various aspects of the food industry and the good guys out there struggling to keep it untainted.
